Our Team

Our team is made up of numerous hard-working individuals, each with multiple talents. It takes every single one of them to do what we do and it is their dedication to Burch Hydro that results in our success. Meet just a few of us below!

Mike & Patty Burch

Founders/Owners

Mike and Patty are the founders and owners of Burch Hydro. Since 1980, they have dedicated their lives to building and maintaining a business that provides for their employees and serves their customers. They are both still very much involved in the business operation with Mike overseeing the business sales and Patty managing the overall administration. When they aren’t toiling away at the office or on a project site, you will find them travelling, boating and spending time with their five grandchildren.

Bryan Burch

Field Operations

Bryan is the eldest son of Mike and Patty and oversees the field operations of Burch Hydro. He is also our Burch BioWave expert overseeing engineering, installations, and startup. Bryan has an engineering degree from the University of Dayton and resides in Sunbury with his wife and two young daughters. He is an avid Ohio State fan and enjoys waterskiing and golfing when he has time which, according to him, is never!

Corey Burch

Maintenance

Corey is the youngest child of Mike and Patty and oversees the company’s maintenance department. He has degrees in equipment maintenance from Owens Community College and electrical from NCTC. He resides in Fredericktown with his wife and son. An outdoorsman at heart, Corey likes to spend his free time hunting, fishing and shooting.

Ryan Wenger

Field Operations/Scheduling

Ryan has been part of our company since 2005 and works closely with Bryan in managing field operations and scheduling. He also supervises many of our projects and is our digester cleaning guru (a title he is not incredibly proud of!). He resides with his wife, Shelly, and their daughter and son in Fredericktown. When he’s not out doing Burch Hydro’s ‘dirty’ work, you’ll find him working around the house, watching Ohio State football or perfecting the art of wake-surfing with Corey.

Shelly Wenger

Administrative Operations

Shelly joined the company in 2004 and is the eldest child of Mike and Patty. Shelly has an engineering degree from Ohio Northern University and oversees much of the administrative part of Burch Hydro’s field operations – bidding jobs and managing contracts. She resides in Fredericktown with her husband, Ryan, and their two children. She enjoys reading, working in her garden and spending time with her family (even at work!).

Gordon Hart

Field Supervision

Gordon is a permanent fixture in Burch Hydro history, having been with the company for over 25 years. He has seen and done it all! Gordon supervises much of our field work and is our resident belt press expert. He resides in Fredericktown with his wife and has three grown children. Gordon enjoys watching football (we won’t name his team of choice), creating masterpieces on the grill and spending time with his grandchildren.
